Connecting Your Stripe Account
Stripe Connect enables secure payment processing for your restaurant.
Setup Process
1. Initiate Connection
Navigate to Billing in your restaurant dashboard
Click "Connect Stripe" button
You'll be redirected to Stripe
2. Stripe Onboarding
Choose one option:
Create New Account
Fill out business information
Provide tax ID (EIN or SSN)
Add bank account for payouts
Verify identity
Use Existing Account
Sign in to existing Stripe account
Grant Preppable access
Verification may still be required
3. Verification Requirements
Stripe requires:
Business legal name
Business address
Tax identification number
Bank account information
Personal identification
Business documents (sometimes)
4. Complete Connection
After approval:
Return to Preppable dashboard
See "Connected" status with account details
Platform fee tier automatically applied
Verification Timeline
Instant: Basic verification
2-3 days: Document review (if requested)
5-7 days: Full account activation
Payout Schedule
Standard: 2-7 business days after charge
Instant: Available for eligible accounts (fees apply)
Weekly: Batched payouts every Friday
Troubleshooting
Connection Failed
Verify all required fields completed
Check that business information matches legal documents
Contact Stripe support for account issues
Verification Pending
Upload requested documents via Stripe dashboard
Respond to Stripe emails promptly
Verification typically completes in 2-3 days
Payouts Not Arriving
Confirm bank account details correct
Check Stripe dashboard for hold reasons
Verify identity documents uploaded

Platform Fees
Platform fees are automatically deducted from payouts based on your tier:
Starter: 4.5%
Growth: 2.9%
Scale: 1.9%
Pro: 0.9%
Enterprise: 0% (custom pricing)
