Sales Tax Configuration

Set up sales tax for your jurisdiction.

Tax Basics

  • Sales Tax: Applied to subscription charges

  • Tax Rate: Varies by state/city

  • Tax ID: Your business tax identification number

Setting Your Tax Rate

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Tax

  2. Enter your tax rate (e.g., 8.5%)

  3. Enter your tax ID

  4. Select tax-exempt categories (if any)

  5. Save changes

Tax-Exempt Customers

Some customers may be tax-exempt:

  • Resellers

  • Non-profits

  • Government entities

To mark customer tax-exempt:

  1. Go to Customers

  2. Find customer

  3. Click Edit

  4. Toggle Tax Exempt

  5. Upload exemption certificate

Tax Reporting

Generate reports:

  • Monthly: Total tax collected

  • By Jurisdiction: If multiple locations

  • Export: CSV for accountant

Go to Reports β†’ Tax for detailed reports.
