Subscriber Analytics

Track subscriber growth and retention metrics.

Key Metrics

Subscriber Growth

  • Total Active: Current paying subscribers

  • New This Month: First-time subscribers

  • Reactivated: Previously canceled, now active

  • Churned: Canceled subscriptions

Growth Rate

Formula: (New - Churned) / Total Active × 100

Example:

  • Started with 50 subscribers

  • Gained 10 new

  • Lost 3

  • Growth Rate: (10 - 3) / 50 = 14%

Churn Rate

Formula: (Churned / Total Active × 100)

Industry benchmarks:

  • Excellent: <5% monthly churn

  • Good: 5-7%

  • Needs Improvement: >10%

Lifetime Value (LTV)

Estimated total revenue per customer: Formula: (Average Order Value × Average Months Subscribed)

Example:

  • Average order: $100/month

  • Average duration: 8 months

  • LTV: $800

Cohort Analysis

What is a Cohort?

Group of subscribers who joined in the same period.

Viewing Cohorts

  1. Go to Reports → Subscribers

  2. Select Cohort Analysis

  3. Choose time period (week, month)

  4. See retention by cohort

Reading Cohort Tables

Example:

Cohort | Month 1 | Month 2 | Month 3 Jan 2024 | 100% | 85% | 78% Feb 2024 | 100% | 90% | 85% Mar 2024 | 100% | 88% | —

Insights:

  • Feb cohort has better retention

  • Overall 80%+ retention is excellent

Subscriber Segmentation

By Plan Type

  • Weekly vs Monthly subscribers

  • Price point analysis

  • Menu strategy preference

By Fulfillment

  • Pickup vs Delivery

  • Dine-in reservations (future)

By Acquisition

  • How customers found you:

    • Direct signup

    • Google search

    • Social media

    • Referral (future)

Exporting Data

  1. Go to Reports → Subscribers

  2. Set date range

  3. Click Export CSV

  4. Open in Excel or Google Sheets

Use for:

  • Investor reports

  • Marketing analysis

  • Business planning
